Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a
one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for external constituencies. The Executive Assistant organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.
The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

The Dam is a non-profit charity focused on supporting the health and well being of youth, through programs that include, but are not limited to, employment support, housing support, food support, after school drop-ins, lunch drop-ins, dinner program, volunteer nights, art & drama, recreation/ f itness, girls/boys/LGBTQ++ groups, mentoring, youth leadership, and school/community outreach. The Dam was founded in 1995 and established its success and recognition as a leading youth serving organization in Mississauga through its Meadowvale site. A second site was established in Cooksville in 2012 which is now equally successful. The Dam is continuously exploring opportunities for growth and expansion to reach as many youth as possible. Our mission is partnering with youth to create an inclusive community where all are welcomed, valued and respected towards a vision where youth are empowered to discover their worth, enabling them to grow and thrive in their communities.
